Welcome to Boy Scout Troop 622
"Troop of the Eagles" Nick Watling, Scoutmaster
Welcome to the Boy Scout Troop 622 Home Page. Troop 622 is located in Rancho Peñasquitos, a suburb of San Diego, CA. The troop meets regularly on Tuesday nights at the Church of the Nazarene, has many active scouts and Assistant Scoutmasters, and goes on regular monthly campouts.
The troop has produced over 100 Eagle Scouts in its 35 years of existence, earning and justifying its nickname, the Troop of the Eagles. Because of the numerous Eagle Scouts that have participated in Troop 622, the troop is an integral part of the surrounding communities, due to the number of Eagle Service Projects that have been completed locally.
Also impressive is the troop's very active camping schedule to numerous locations throughout the Western United States, including annual summer camps, and Colorado River canoe trips. Previous camp locations include the Havasupai Indian reservation in the Grand Canyon, Six Flags Magic Mountain, the Sierra Nevada Mountains, Anza-Borrego State Park, Joshua Tree National Monument, Mammoth Mountain Ski Resort, and Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico. |
