Calendar Admin

Webmaster owns all calendars.  All @troop622.com emails have editing privileges.

Since Calendars are more volatile than webpages, holders of @troop622.com can add their personal emails to those allowed to edit calendars.  In this manner, they may edit a calendar when signed into their standard troop Google account as opposed to the @troop622.com account.

Edit an Existing Event

You may edit the date/time and description of an event.

On the calendar, click the event.  This displays additional details (the time and the place) about the event, and a more details>>  or edit event>> link. Click on that link.  This opens a new page (probably in a new browser tab) in the Google Calendar application.  (Note the Google bar across the top, and Calendar is highlighted.)  The event is displayed.

The name of the event may be edited.  Click the event name to edit it.

The time of the event may be edited by clicking the edit hyperlink next to the time.

The location may be edited.  Click the location to edit it.  (Clicking the link Map does not edit the location.)

The description may be edited.

Creating a New Event

On the calendar, click the Google Calendar button in the lower right hand corner of the calendar.  This opens a new page (probably in a new browser tab) in the Google Calendar application.  (Note the Google bar across the top, and Calendar is highlighted.)

On the left hand side of the displayed calendar, there is a small monthly calendar, and beneath that a section labeled "My Calanders."  Under "My Calendars" find "Troop 622 Calendar".  Hover the mouse pointer over it to reveal a down arrow.  Click the down arrow to get a menu.  Select "Create Event on this Calendar".

Alternatively, just above the small monthly calendar on the left is a Create button. Click it.

In either of these two cases, you go to the create event page. Add description, timing, and a short description of the event.  Make very sure the Calendar you're adding it to is the Troop 622 Calendar and not some other calendar.
