Ronak Patel talks about what it means to be a Troop Guide below:
"The Troop Guide is meant to “guide” new scouts through their journey to becoming experienced in the art of scouting. So if you are new, have any questions, or want to advance if below the first class rank, we are the people you are looking for!

Our jobs are to essentially teach and enforce scout skills, things that will help you in scouting but in other places as well, like general camping, sports, work areas, and much more.

When new in boy scouts, things can be daunting, but comradery can always help. I remember my first camping trip, and bonding with all the scouts over campfires and card games. (Although I can’t say the same for my opponents, given that I mostly won.) Another example could be the time when at summer camp we watched scouts and parents compete in canoe racing, where only half of the participants managed to stay on their boats.
So with Troop 622 we promise to give you important life/scouting skills, a smooth introduction into the troop, and many great memories."

The WebMaster would like YOU to contribute an article about:
  1. Your early-scout favorite memories
  2. A funny story that happened to you at a Troop 622 event.
